Jason Harvey is a track and field athlete who hails from Northern Ireland. Jason’s background comes from distance and multi events in his early teens, he soon excelled in shorter one lap distances of 400 & 400m hurdles. Jason appeared at the World Junior Championships in 2008 & European Junior Championships in 2009 where his Irish relay team achieved a 9th and 6th place finish respectively. He is part of the Irish Junior relay record holding team. Following a successful junior and u23 career Jason has represented Ireland at two European Senior Championships in 2012 and 2014 and Northern Ireland in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014. He is the second fastest 400m hurdler in Northern Ireland and 4th Fastest in Ireland EVER.
Alongside athletics, in 2015 Jason graduated with a degree from University of Ulster in Interactive Multimedia & Design. He has a strong social media presence, where he looks to inspire the younger generation of athletes in Northern Ireland and Ireland showcasing how sport can pull you away from troubles that are ever present in Northern Ireland culture.
