Iqra is an award-winning football personality and pioneer. At just 24 years old, she is already a role model within her community, advocating for Muslim women to both enter and remain in sport.
Leading by example, Iqra demonstrates that Muslim women can excel in football. She has captained Somalia, founded a football team, and hosts football camps during school holidays—primarily aimed at, but not exclusively for, girls from underrepresented groups.
Iqra has been honoured by Forbes 30 Under 30 and is the youngest-ever winner of a Blacklist Award, which celebrates Black excellence in English football.
